LSPU is very proud to have initiated this kind of convention in the field of research as this is one of the demands of an industrializing economy like our country, Philippines. As we all know, conduct of research is one of the mandates of state colleges and universities not only in the Philippines, or Asia, but in a world of a diverse globalized society. In higher education system particularly in the Philippines, research is one of the four-fold functions to provide support to instruction, create new knowledge, and enhance the quality of life of the people.
Moreover, LSPU is proud to have invited reputable speakers in the field of research to provide us current/contemporary and substantial research information in relation to research functions, tools, research environment, and challenges among others. Add-on to this convention is valuable input on ASEAN 2015. Accordingly, this convention becomes an avenue to advance the research capability and research culture of university officials, faculty members and graduate students as well.
