LSPU Officials Bound to Changwon Moonsung University, Korea for Scholarly Visit
LSPU-CMU international programs is strengthened by the regular and active annual periodical exchange of faculty and students. Every year, CMU is sending qualified scholars to participate in the one-month Intensive Language Proficiency Course conducted at LSPU-Santa Cruz Main Campus. Likewise, at least two faculty per year join the Korean students and take the opportunity to teach Korean Language (Hanggul) to Filipino CHMT students, in any of the four campuses. Every year also, two competent faculty members are invited by Changwon Moonsung University to teach practical English to Korean students for a duration of three to four months.

Dr. SAN ANTONIO Clarifies SUC’S K-12 Queries on the Symposium “SUCS as Implementing Arm of the K-12 Program
DR. DIOSDADO M. SAN ANTONIO, Regional Director DepEd R-IV presented the k to 12 Curricular Structure during the Symposium on SUCs as Implementing Arm of the k—12 Program at LSPU-Santa Cruz Campus on August 22, 2014.
DR. NESTOR M. DE VERA, along with the Vice-President for Academic Affairs DR. MARIO C. PASION and the CIDQA Director and Chairpersons made possible the conduct of the Symposium with the objective of giving surety that SUCs will become equal partner of the Department of Education in ensuring that the K-12 Program will be appropriately and correctly realized

LSPU PRESIDENT ENCOURAGES THE PROMOTION OF INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT AND PACKAGING
To advance the Laguna State Polytechnic University’s (LSPU) faculty research capabilities, and with the purpose of developing their ability to write convincing proposals to attract internal and external funding sources, DR. NESTOR M. DE VERA, the University President, encouraged the conduct of a training workshop on research. Hence, DR. ROBERT C. AGATEP, Director for Research & Development, in partnership with Dr. Ruby B. Brion, Director for Gender & Development initiated jointly the arrangement and conduct of a research schooling entitled “Engendering Research cum Training-workshop on R & D Proposal Development and Resource Generation” which is scheduled on four segments from July to August, 2014.

LSPU PRESIDENT INSTIGATES THE ANNUAL REVISIT OF UNIVERSITY’S FIVE-YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN
“We have to revisit what we have planned,” Dr. Nestor M. de Vera pointed out as he delivered his inspiring message during the LSPU Strategic Development Plan Review and Assessment held at Estrellas de Mendoza, San Juan, Batangas on June 9 and 10, 2014.
The review conference was attended by 50 University Officials constituted of the President himself, the four Vice-Presidents, the Campus Directors, the Directors and Deans, including two members of the Board of Regents and the BOR Secretary.
“We have to be consistent but flexible… we can add, modify, delete some concepts or activities that are irrelevant or not applicable to the direction we are heading to,” Dr. De Vera continued.
Dr. Aurea A. Roxas gave a lecture on "Understanding Pests of Aerobic Rice and Determining Practices to Control Occurrence" during the second day of a three-day National Trainers' Training on Aerobic Rice Technology held on April 23-25, 2014 at the Asiablooms Hotel in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. She is an Accredited Researcher in Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority and a holder of a degree in Doctor of Philosophy in Entomology from the University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguna. She is a retired Professor of Central Luzon State University but according to her she is not yet tired.
