Creativity unleashed, recognition received!
The entry of the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) claimed the top spot in the SmartBro Hangout Spot Design Contest, Nov. 15.
The hangout spot of the LSPU-San Pablo City Campus (LSPU-SPCC) bested all the entries in the contest from different education institutions in the country.
“Your students’ exceptional creativity, design proficiency, and engagement set them apart, earning a well-deserved first place victory among 11 participating schools nationwide,” stated in a correspondence sent to LSPU by the Smart Communications, Inc. for the announcement of winners.
Meanwhile, entries of the Liceo de Cagayan University and Bulacan State University were named second and third place, respectively.
For being the champion, the LSPU will receive the following: a cash prize worth P50,000.00; upgrading of the hotspot with amenities worth P11,000.00 which includes two pieces of ottoman chairs, three throw pillows, and one multipurpose table topper/charger; salu-salo food treat worth P5,000.00 during the one-day event celebration; and 100 pieces of freebies for the school (tote bags).
As reported earlier, the LSPU Smart Bro Hangout Spot was unveiled on Oct. 9, marking the official participation of the university in the contest.
The hangout spot paved the way for the upgrading of the Student Activity Center through the collective effort of different organizations, offices, and units of the university, the creation of which was primarily headed by the Supreme Student Council (SSC) of LSPU-SPCC, Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), College of Industrial Technology (CIT), and University Administration, among others.
The LSPU SmartBro Hangout Spot remains open to all the students and employees of the LSPU to visit.
