Through the success of this research conclave followed by the University’s top five showing at the quiz bowl as well as its continuous presence in PSC activities, Dr. Nestor De Vera is selected as the first chairperson for the PSC Committee on Faculty Development. The Action Plan of the Committee was presented by A/Prof. Rommel Octavius R. Nuestro, VPRD and PSC Coordinator during the workshop plenary session and in the Joint Council and Secretariat Meeting.
Benchmarking of the Batanes State College and of Batanes province with regards to disaster risk reduction and management was also done by the delegation. This was done through observation and visits to various towns of the province.
