The Tindahan ni Mang Piyu, a dedicated space for the products of the incubatees of the Laguna State Polytechnic University-Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator (LSPU-ATBI), will be put up among all the campuses of the university under the management of the Business Affairs Office (BAO).
A collaborative project of LSPU-ATBI, BAO, and incubatees, the Tindahan ni Mang Piyu is a marketing effort not only to increase the marketability of the technology but also to support the realization of the production mandate of the university.
“We [at BAO] will tap po ‘yung mga produkto natin at ng sa gayun ay magkatulungan [tayo],” shared Mr. Christopher F. Mendoza, Chairperson of BAO at LSPU-Los Baños (LBC). “Sa Tindahan ni Mang Piyu, kayo po ay welcome na magdala ng produkto para matulungan po naming kayo sa sales ng inyong mga product.”
The terms of reference among the collaborating parties for the project were discussed during the Incubatees General Assembly and Thanksgiving held at Los Banos Campus Boardrooom on January 31, 2024.
Specifically, the collaborating parties went over the particulars of the terms of reference such as partnership goals and specific duties and obligations of the collaborators in terms of the sales system, revenue sharing, and product care and delivery, among others.
In the same event, a recognition ceremony was conducted among basic incubatees, advanced incubatees, and accelerated incubatees.
The signing of memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the LSPU-ATBI and incubatees was also conducted to formalize the partnership and to comply with the requirements of the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) for the project.
Delivering messages for the event were Imee P. Sanchez, Chairperson of the Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO), representative of Atty. Rushid Jay S. Sancon, for the welcome message, and Dr. Juliet A. Caramote, Director of the Center for Innovation and Emerging Technologies (CIET), for the closing message.
The event was hosted by the DOST-PCAARRD-LSPU ATBI, initiated by its Project Manager and Leader Ms. Mary Ann L. Barile and Engr. Isabelita T. Domingo, respectively; with the support of Mr. Alexiss Iranzo, Marketing Assistant; and the ATBI Kalahi Support Staff.
The Tindahan ni Mang Piyu, a marketing branding of ATBI-BAO, was launched during the LSPU TechnOlympics last November 29, 2023.
