Another feather in our President’s cap!
Dr. Mario R. Briones, University President of the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), was awarded the Gawad ng Natatanging San Pableño 2024 for Educational Leadership during the celebration of the 84th San Pablo City Charter Anniversary at the Auravel Grande Hotel and Resort, San Pablo City, May 7.
President Briones is one of the selected 17 awardees for the Gawad ng Natatanging San Pableño in various fields, recognized for their outstanding achievements that benefited the community, helped inspire people, and have contributed, one way or another, to the development of the city.
As the representative of this year’s awardees, President Briones delivered a message of appreciation for the recognition given to them by their home city.
“I thank the city government for recognizing the work that we do in ensuring that we usher in a new age in educational reforms. For and on behalf of this year’s nominees and awardees, we are thankful for this opportunity to be able to always educate, empower, and inspire our fellow San Pableños,” President Briones said.
President Briones was recognized for his years of dedication and hard work as an educational leader, translated by the national and international achievements of the University he has been leading. The quality education provided by the institution has been paving the way to transform the lives of the community, training the learners for professional work here and abroad.
The Gawad ng Natatanging San Pableño is an annual recognition rite organized by the City Government of San Pablo in celebration of the city charter anniversary.
