In line with the continuous efforts of the national government through the Office of the Civil Defense to prepare for a possible strong earthquake, the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) conducted the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake drill across all campuses today.
When the alarm sounded at exactly nine in the morning, students and employees of the university simultaneously put into practice the "duck, cover, and hold" in their respective classrooms and offices where some possible incidents could happen in the event of an earthquake; they likewise went to the field and open spaces as areas of safety.
This activity was made successful through the collaboration of the Red Cross Youth and the University Disaster Risk Reduction Management (UDRRM) unit of the university.
