The Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), being a state university, took part in the pre-plenary and plenary sessions on the proposed budget proposal of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) for Fiscal Year 2024, Sep 20-21.
Dr. Mario R. Briones, University President of LSPU, sat with other heads of SUCs in the Philippines during the pre-plenary session held at the Belmonte Hall, Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City.
The said heads of institutions form part of the representatives of SUCs in briefing the House Committee on the appropriations for FY 2024 on the financial and fund status, programs, projects, income, and accomplishments, among others.
Dr. Briones likewise appeared during the plenary session the following day. He was accompanied by Engr. Beltran P. Pedrigal, Vice President for Administration; Dr. Adriel Roman, Director for Planning and Development; Ms. Marie Ammabelle I. Cabildo, Director for Budget and Finance; and Gizelle Alvarez, Accountant.
During their visit, the LSPU delegates were able to meet and sit down with Congressman Loreto “Amben” S. Amante, 3rd District Representative of the Province of Laguna, whose constituency covers one of the campuses of LSPU. [LSPU Information Office]
