Ensuring service excellence as part of their commitment to their stakeholders, the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) visited the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) to benchmark its administrative procedures, April 11.
In his welcome remarks, Engr. Manuel Luis R. Alvarez, Campus Director of LSPU-Sta. Cruz Campus (LSPU-SCC), warmly welcomed the unit head and staff of the BPSU-Supply Office. He also stated that LSPU is always willing to help other universities by sharing all the best practices of its different offices.
During the benchmarking, BPSU expressed their interest in LSPU’s practices in terms of recognition and derecognition of Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE) and inventories, disposal procedure (especially motor vehicles), managing unserviceable information and communication technology (ICT) equipment, the process of informing the end-users about their property accountability, managing material recovery facility (MRF), booking up biological assets and other matters that involved the operation between supply, procurement, cashier, budget, and accounting office.
These were addressed by the unit heads and personnel of the concerned offices of LSPU-Sta. Cruz including Ms. Ericka Anne E. Felipe, Budget Officer; Mr. Brainard H. Reyes, Procurement Officer; Mr. Arbyn L. Almonte, Supply Officer; Ms. Rosalie G. Adaro, Cashier; Ms. Novelinda M. Pasion, Accountant; and Mr. Kris Rodel T. Himalay, Property Custodian.
Mr. Nelson M. de Dios, Supply Officer of BPSU, thanked LSPU for addressing their concerns which will help them in improving the operations of their office and welcoming them to our university.
After the activity, the personnel of BPSU had the opportunity to visit the Supply and Procurement Building for office visitation.
