The four (4) student publications of the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) reaped multiple awards in the Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC) held in Batis Aramin Hotel and Resort, Lucban Quezon, Feb. 20-22.

Among the 32 competing student publications in Region IV-A (Calabarzon), the Technology Advocate of the LSPU-San Pablo City Campus (LSPU-SPCC) and The Gears Publication of the LSPU-Sta. Cruz Campus (LSPU-SCC) were named the 5th and 9th Top Performing Student Publications for their registered awards in different competitions.

Meanwhile, the Baybay Granary of the LSPU-Siniloan Campus (LSPU-SC) and Bay Breeze Group of Publications of the LSPU-Los Baños Campus (LSPU-LBC) also hauled awards for the group and individual categories, earning spots to represent the region in the Luzon-wide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC).

RHEPC is a campus journalism event for college students from higher education institutions (HEIs) in the region. Campus journalists train and compete in individual writing, drawing, broadcasting, and layout competitions; the top five individuals per category are to represent the region in the next level, the LHEPC. The campus journos also showcase their group outputs such as newsletters, tabloids, magazines, and literary folios for competitions.

Luzon-wide qualifiers are set to represent the region in LHEPC to be conducted in Naga City, March 19-21.
