Eleven (11) faculty members from the College of Hospitality Management and Tourism (CHMT) of the Laguna State Polytechnic University-Sta. Cruz Campus (LSPU-SCC) have been awarded international professional certifications in hospitality and tourism management, Oct 25.

The seven faculty members recognized as Certified Hospitality Management Professionals (CHMP) are Charmine V. Rivera, Mary Ann R. Sancon, Leslie T. Salazar, Zhamuel Z. Cruz, Clarizel B. Halili, Rosean Grace D. Mabansay, and Precious Ann D. Zacarias. Meanwhile, faculty members named as Certified Tourism Management Professionals (CTMP) include Aefre S. Gesmundo, Bernadette M. Pasion, Jerome R. Fernandez, and Jose Mari R. Fadrigalan.

The said certifications were conferred by the International Alliance of Certified Hospitality and Tourism Professionals (IACHTP), a globally recognized leader in the recognition and co-certification of hospitality and tourism professionals across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Pacific.

The certifications were given to those who meet the requirements for Professional Designation Certification standards which include training and examination.
