LSPU-SPCC CAS honors new RPMs

Welcome back, our pride and honor!

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) of the Laguna State Polytechnic University-San Pablo City Campus (LSPU-SPCC) prepared a Testimonial Dinner for their Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BS Psych) graduates who passed the August 2024 Psychometrician Licensure Examination (PLE), Sep. 16.

It should be noted that the LSPU-SPCC has produced a top-notcher (Melza Luz Z. Ramel, 10th place) and 55 passers (65.50% rating) in the said examination.

A total of 199 participants took part in the ceremony, composed of the new Registered Psychometricians (RPms), their parents or guardians, officers of CAS and Psyche Society, faculty members, and administrative officials.

Dr. Julie Fe D. Panoy, LSPU-SPCC CAS Associate Dean, shared that the performance of this year’s batch helps the program and the College towards securing its accreditation level.

“As you know, tayo ay nag-a-apply ng accreditation. Mataas na ang ating level, naandun na tayo sa Level III… pero ang inaantay natin [ay] ‘yung certificate… and we can only be awarded the certificate if we could surpass the national passing rate. We have to have 25 percent above the national passing rate,” Dr. Panoy explained.

Associate Dean Panoy expressed optimism in attaining this goal, especially with the increasing trend in licensure examination performance through the years. She also extended her appreciation to the faculty members who dedicated their service to the College and students while pursuing professional development.

Meanwhile, A/Prof. Joel M. Bawica, LSPU-SPCC Campus Director, reminded the passers to keep a grateful heart for the success that they have and will continue to achieve.

“You have your family and support system who encouraged you to start and keep going, your teachers who challenged your capacities, and your classmates and friends who shared your happy and sad times.  This might appear as ‘your’ success, but this success is not only for you to celebrate,” CD Bawica said.

The RPMs and their guardians were called on stage to receive their pins, symbolizing their achievement. This was followed by a photo opportunity and testimonial address by selected graduates.
