The College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) of the Laguna State Polytechnic University-Sta. Cruz Campus (LSPU-SCC) conducted a college orientation among its first year and higher year students at the Multi-function Hall Gymnasium, Sep. 5.
The comprehensive program aimed to ensure that both new and returning students are well-prepared for the academic challenges ahead and aware of the opportunities available to them during their time at LSPU-SCC.
Dr. MaryJane D. Fuentes, Dean of CBAA, explained that the college intended to include all the students to refresh their knowledge about the university’s student services, as well as its rules and regulations.
Dr. Fuentes added: “It is my privilege to guide and support you in your academic pursuits. Our college, CBAA, is a place of learning, growth, and opportunity, where you will be challenged to think critically, explore new ideas, and expand your horizons.”
The orientation covered key topics essential for students’ academic success, including university rules and regulations, student classification, attendance policies, grading system, and scholarship opportunities.
Discussions also focused on research guidelines, educational tours, and the much-anticipated pinning and send-off ceremony for students preparing for their On-the-Job Training (OJT).
The event was organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) in collaboration with the Supreme Student Council (SSC) and CBAA.
