LSPU, LCCAMO facilitate DILG IV-A orientation on ELCCAP

The Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) together with Laguna Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Office (LCCAMO) facilitated the orientation on the Enhanced Climate Change Adaptation Plan (ELCCAP) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IV-A) held in Calamba City, Laguna, Oct. 17-18.

The initiative aimed to provide our community with the essential tools and knowledge required to adapt to the growing impacts of climate change.

Mr. Erwin Napiza, Director of the University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (UDRRMO), led a session on the critical aspects of planning, prioritization, and budgeting for climate change adaptation. His presentation emphasized the need for clear strategies in local planning to ensure that resources are effectively allocated for climate adaptation measures.

This orientation is a part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen community resilience against climate challenges, ensuring that communities are well-prepared to respond to the effects of climate change while working toward a sustainable future.
