Leading the Leaders: CTE-GSAR trains new school managers

Transitioning into a new role comes with challenges, especially for novice managers and heads.

Recognizing the opportunity to share their expertise, the College of Teacher Education-Graduates Studies and Applied Research (CTE-GSAR) of the Laguna State Polytechnic University-San Pablo City Campus (LSPU-SPCC) extends its services in the project entitled “Project EMpower: An Extensive Training Program for Newly Appointed School Managers,” at the Maryhill College, Inc. (MC), Lucena, Oct. 18.

The comprehensive leadership training aimed to develop among new managers enhanced leadership skills, advanced management techniques, and increased knowledge of educational best practices.

The partnership between CTE-GSAR and MC for the project was formalized through a signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), inked on the same day.

The said collaboration is under the project leadership of Dr. Jherwin P. Hermosa and Dr. Edilberto Z. Andal with group members Mr. Chester Derequito, Dr. Darwin D. Ofrin, Dr. Julie Fe D. Panoy, Ms. Maria Remedios Almazan, and Ms. Rose Ann Andrade.

Together with Dr. Hermosa and Dr. Andal, Mr. Allen Pasia, John Vincent C. Aliazas, and Dr. Agripina Banayo will serve as the resource persons of the program.

The Project Empower runs from October 2024-March 2025.
