The kapisanang Kimika ng Pilipinas – Southern Tagalog, Inc – a professional organiza-tion of chemists and chemistry-related professionals in the academe, industry, research and government; who are based, working, or have linkag-es in the Southern Tagalog re-gion of the Philippines – will hold its 46th Annual Convention at Laguna State Polytechnic Uni-versity – Santa Cruz Campus on September 6-7, 2017. This is one of the major activities of the society which aims to provide its members the opportunity for update of knowledge, ex-change of technology, and collaboration on current re-searches in chemistry and relat-ed fields as well as national is-sues that impact the chemistry profession.
LSPU as co-host of this event is highly pleased to bring the annual Convention in the university campus in Santa Cruz, thus set the stage for more dis-cussions on latest development and issues in food handling, ex-change of hands-on experienc-es, innovation, best practices, and most of all in building rela-tionships.
This year’s theme“Chemistry towards Food Safety and Security. The convention will run for two (2) days with plenary lectures, technical paper presentations, Young Scientists’ Forum, poster presentations, in-strumentation exhibit and the annual business meeting.
Members are invited to present oral and poster papers based from original research, or a review of a recent develop-ment in chemistry and related areas with an abstract of not more than 300 words.
