The Laguna State Polytechnic University-San Pablo City Campus (LSPU-SPCC) prepared a healthful way to celebrate this year’s Civil Service Month: Zumba.
Teaching and non-teaching employees gathered at the University Gymnasium to celebrate the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary with the theme, “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes,” Sep. 27.
The campus-wide celebration was spearheaded by the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) and Gender and Development (GAD) under the sub-theme of “Breaking Barriers: Gender Equality in Civil Service.”
Employees from administrative offices and different colleges followed the lead of Dr. Roger A. Gimpaya, Sports and Cultural Affairs Chairperson, together with selected faculty and officials in the Zumba session.
Before the Zumba session, a parade among the participants was conducted within the campus. Afterward, LSPU-SPCC Campus Director Joel M. Bawica, Vice President for Academic Affairs Eden C. Callo, and LSPU-SPCC Faculty Association President Rose R. Andrade delivered their messages for the event, highlighting the important roles employees played in delivering quality government service.
GAD also provided free snacks and refreshments to all participating employees.
Prof. Imelda G. Carada served as the lady of the ceremonies.
