CSC renews LSPU CNA registration

Civil Service Commission (CSC) awarded the certificate of registration of the University’s Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) at the College of Teacher Education (CTE) Function Hall, San Pablo City Campus, Feb 3.

Charity F. Arevalo, Director of CSC Field Office-Laguna, handed over the certificate to the University President, Dr. Mario R. Briones.

In her message, Director Arevalo pointed out that importance of CNA and its implication.

“It is not always about monetary,” she said, mentioning the non-monetary rights and responsibilities implicated in CNA.

This was seconded by the incoming Federated Faculty Association President Dr. Chester Alexis Buama, stating that the existence of an approved CNA is relative to employee productivity, organizational success, and holistic development.

The granting of the registration of CNA is the result of the cooperation of the LSPU administration and the faculty association.

Prior the granting of registration, the LSPU administrative officials conducted a review of the existing CNA at the President’s Hall, Sta. Cruz Campus, Jan. 20.

The results of the deliberation were forwarded to the faculty association and thereby presented to the LSPU E-Finance Committee for its approval.

The LSPU CNA registration had expired late last year which called for its renewal.

The new registration covers the year 2019 to 2022.***
