Dr. Mario R. Briones, University President of the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), together with selected officials, attended the Senate Public Hearing of the Committee on Finance on the Proposed 2024 National Expenditure Program of State Universities and Colleges (SUC), Oct. 2.
LSPU officials who were with President Briones were Engr. Beltran P. Pedrigal, Vice President for Administration; Engr. Manuel Luis R. Alvarez, Campus Director for Los Banos Campus; A/Prof. Joel M. Bawica, Campus Director for San Pablo City Campus; Dr. Adriel Roman, Director for Planning and Development; and Ms. Marie Ammabelle Cabildo, Director for Budget and Finance.
President Briones and LSPU officials also had the chance to meet Senator Pia Cayetano who led the public hearing on the proposed 2024 budgets of SUCs, including the University of the Philippines System; Commission on Higher Education (CHED); and the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).

Congratulations to our new nurses! The College of Nursing and Allied Health (CONAH) of the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) produced 164 newly licensed nurses, garnering 98.80% passing rate in the November 2024 Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination (PNLE) as revealed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Nov. 29.
