The opening program for the two-day ocular inspection was conducted at the Conference Hall, LSPU-San Pablo City Campus (SPCC), after which the visitation of the sites started with SPCC and Sta. Cruz Campus (SCC) for the first day and Los Baños Campus (LBC) for the second day.
“This program exemplifies our commitment to transparency, accountability, and the efficient utilization of resources, which are essential components of responsible governance,” said Dr. Mario R. Briones, LSPU University President, during his welcome remarks.
President Briones also encouraged everyone to make the most of the visit for open and constructive dialogue for the comprehensive assessment of the capital outlay projects in the university.
“Your insights and inputs during this ocular inspection will undoubtedly contribute to our continued progress and development,” President Briones added.
For the opening program, Dr. Adriel G. Roman, Director for Planning and Development, acknowledged the participants of the event composed of DMB and LSPU delegates. Dr. Roman likewise served as the moderator of the program.
For DBM, present for the ocular inspection were Nympha R. Manalastas, Regional Director of DBM-Calabarzon; Jacqueline B. Ludovice, Acting Assistant Regional Director of DBM-Calabarzon; April M. Clor, Supervising Budget and Management Specialist (BMS); and Rodom Jeel S. Gerona, Senior BMS. Meanwhile, LSPU officials who took part in the program with President Briones and Dr. Roman were Engr. Beltran P. Pedrigal, Vice President for Administration; Engr. Manuel Luis Alvarez, Campus Director for LBC; Atty. Rushid Jay S. Sancon, Campus Director for Siniloan; Marie Ammabelle Cabildo, Director for Budget and Finance; Gizelle C. Alvarez, Accountant; and selected officials from the Planning and Development, Supply and Procurement, Physical Plant and Site Development, Budget and Finance, and colleges.
Engr. Maricel M. Matuto, Planning Officer III, delivered an overall presentation of the physical status of FY 2020-2023 capital outlay projects. Meanwhile, Engr. Neil James P. Noval, Chairperson for Planning and Development at the LSPU-SPCC, led the opening forum. Finally, Regional Director Manalastas delivered the closing remarks for the program.
The number of reported projects for each campus or site are as follows: six for the LSPU-SPCC, five for the LSPU-Siniloan Campus (SC), five for the LSPU-Sta. Cruz Campus (SCC), and three for LSPU-LBC.
