The representatives of Laguna State Polytechnic University-Siniloan Campus (LSPU-SC) attended the highly anticipated Beauty + Health and Wellness Expo 2024 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Sep. 19.
LSPU representatives, namely, Engr. Isabelita T. Domingo, Project Leader; Ms. Mary Ann L. Barile, Co-project Leader/Team member; and Ms. Joane F. Mendoza, Laboratory Aide, attended the event in line with their ongoing Research & Development Project entitled, “Development of Green Essentials for Personal and Home Care Purposes (Phase 1).”
The LSPU-ATBI representatives took the chance to explore cutting-edge advancements and gather inspiration for their project, which seeks to align with the growing demand for greener alternatives in the beauty and home care markets.
The expo was organized by Global Link MP, a Philippine-based events agency and a subsidiary of Singapore’s MP International Pte. Ltd., focused on creating sustainable and eco-friendly products.
The event was also attended by product developers; Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs); and key suppliers from the local and international beauty and wellness sectors, creating a dynamic environment of innovation, trends, and business opportunities.
ALTEK Chemical Philippines comprehensively looked at the APAC Beauty Landscape, highlighting regional trends, challenges, and opportunities. They also showcased a range of raw materials now available for sustainable product development.
Meanwhile, Bestpak Packaging Solutions, Inc. showcased modern packaging and labeling innovations, which play a vital role in enhancing product visibility in an increasingly competitive market.
Emphasizing the importance of compliance with international standards for businesses aiming to enter foreign markets, GSI Philippines, Inc. hosted a session on Global Standards Awareness.
Lazada Mall shared tips on assessing the growth of small businesses through the use of various online platforms, while Shantal Beauty and Wellness Products showcased guidelines for launching new products in the market.
The knowledge gained and the networks established at the expo will undoubtedly fuel the continued development of LSPU's Green Essentials Project, empowering both the university and the next generation of beauty-conscious consumers with sustainable and innovative products.
