Home/ News & Articles/ LSPU undergoes ISO Surveillance Audit for certificate renewal

The Laguna State Polytechnic University submitted the institution to Surveillance Audit for the renewal of the ISO 9001:2015 certification, Oct. 7-8.

The four campuses of the University that underwent the surveillance audit were Sta. Cruz (Main) Campus, Siniloan (Host) Campus, San Pablo City Campus, and Los Baños Campus.

LSPU received ISO 9001:2015 certificate in December 2018.

The findings of the auditors Rolando Remitar, Jogina Mendiola, and Ramoncito Puyat were comprised of 42 positive findings and two non-conformities.

Some of the positive findings included the management’s commitment for continual improvement; the special awards and citations the University received such as  being one of the Outstanding GAD Implementers under the SUC category, RME 3rd Top Performing Schools, and Institutional Accreditation; additional facilities among campuses; and competent faculties among others.

The two nonconformities found were 1.) root cause analysis and review of the effectiveness of corrective actions, and 2.) preventive maintenance reports.

Despite the two nonconformities, Mr. Remitar gave a positive outlook on the renewal of certification.

The certificate shall be given to the University after accomplishing the compliance report within a month.

Surveillance audit is conducted for three consecutive years to assure that the standards are maintained in an institution.

ISO 9001:2015 certification focuses on the management system of the University.***
