Campus Director Atty. Rushid Jay S. Sancon of the Laguna State Polytechnic University-Los Baños Campus (LSPU-LBC) paid a courtesy visit to the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Barangay Malinta, Los Baños, Laguna, Sept 5.
This meeting followed the courtesy visit of Barangay Chairperson Jesus H. De Una Jr. last May 13 to explore potential collaborations and partnerships that will benefit the students and the local community.
During the meeting, discussions centered on the sharing of resources, including facilities, equipment, and logistical support between LSPU-LBC and Barangay Malinta. Both parties expressed their commitment to utilizing these resources efficiently for mutual benefit, especially during community events and university-related activities.
Present at the meeting were Barangay Chairperson Jesus H. De Una Jr., Councilors Alan Bienes and Gaudencio Mariano, Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson Edmund Loyd E. Velasco, LSPU-LBC Campus Director Atty. Rushid Jay S. Sancon, and General Services Unit (GSU) and Security Management Office (SMO) head Eden Joy L. Eugenio.
This partnership is expected to strengthen community relations and provide new opportunities for both LSPU students and residents of Barangay Malinta through shared initiatives.
