Siniloan opens early admission for SHS, freshmen, GS

Early admission for incoming senior high and freshmen college students has already started at Laguna State Polytechnic University - Siniloan (Host) Campus.

Spearheaded by Rowena D. Soriano, guidance counselor, the university has already started accepting applications from senior high students since the first week of April.

This is to have ample time to prepare for the next academic year as the university is expecting a huge number of enrollees fresh from K-12 program.

Admission tests both for senior high and college applicants are administered every Wednesdays and Fridays.

The University qualifying exam is schedule on May 12, 26 and June 2, 2018 and for Nagcarlan Satellite Campus exam schedule is on June 14, 2018.

For Graduate Studies, the admission period will be on May 21-31, 2018.

The school's senior high school still offers the ABM and HUMMS tracks.

Major changes are also made in the offered undergraduate programs of the university.

There will no longer be Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) major in MAPEH and TLE.

They will be replaced by Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) and Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED), respectively.

The College of Teacher Education (CTE) will also offer three new programs namely Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (BTVED), Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, and Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Alternative Learning System (PB-ALS).

College of Agriculture (CA) will offer Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences (BSES) and Bachelor of Science in Food Technology (BSFT), a program formerly offered in College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).

Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education (BSAgEd), which was initially planned for removal, will still be offered in CA.

Two-year programs will no longer be available at College of Hospitality Management and Tourism (CHMT).

The same existing programs remain for CAS, College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBMA), College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) and Institute of Agricultural Engineering (IAE).

Freshmen enrollees must bring form 138, good moral certification, two pieces of passport size picture with white background, birth certificate, medical certificate and x-ray. For Criminology students, an additional drug test is required.

For transferees, the same set of requirements are needed plus Transcript of Record (TOR) and honorable dismissal.
