November 24, 2016 – Twenty-six (26) students from the College of Teacher Education were sent to Thai Nguyen University, Vietnam for International Off-Campus Student Teaching. Their deployment is pursuant to the Memorandum of Agreement for International Off-Campus Student Teaching signed between Laguna State Polytechnic University and Thai Nguyen University in 2012.
The objective of this academic tie up is to expose student teachers in a global scheme and upgrade the quality of education and training of LSPU students. Further the training is seen to improve the language proficiency and skills of the students in preparation for their future career and employment opportunities, both locally and internationally.
These students came from the four campuses of LSPU (Siniloan, San Pablo, Santa Cruz and Los Banos ) The International Training and Development Center of TNU is in-charge of the students’ deployment to various universities and training centers in Vietnam where they will undergo teacher training from November 2016 to May 2017.
