College of Teacher Education - Extension and Training Services launches  ROYAL ROAD TO RESEARCH

The Unit-head of CTE-Extension and Training Services, Dr. Victoria E. Tamban and Assistant Professor Ofelia B. Maningas evaluated the research capability of the 79 teachers of Malaban Elementary School (MES) located at Brgy. Malaban, Biñan City through survey questionnaires about teachers’ research capability adopted from the study.

Series of seminar/training write-shops were conducted by the CTE Team.  One of the seminars was conducted last January 18, 2019, entitled,” Royal Road to Research Seminar: Teachers’ Research Capability with Dr. Victoria E. Tamban as the Resource Speaker. The participants of the seminar were 59 teachers of Malaban Elementary School (MES), Brgy. Malaban, Biñan City.

The program started with the registration of the participants, facilitated by Mrs. Nilda S. Alforja, assisted by Ms. Marciana T. Torillos and Ofelia B. Maningas CTE Faculty and GSAR students. The program facilitator was Dr. Alberto D. Yazon, while Mr. Chester Alexis C. Buama introduced the resource speaker. Dr. Francisco Panopio led the open forum.

 

 Most of the respondents appreciated the activity. According to them the professor/lecturer gave her best in discussing the step by step procedure in formulating research title. The most useful topic according to them was the formulation of three research title as a basis of the participants to conduct research in their field of works. Their suggestion for improvement is to cater all the DepEd teachers in Biñan City.
