LSPU host 2018 STRASUC Culture & Arts Fest and Olympics

                Laguna State Polytechnic University hosted the 4th Southern Tagalog Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges (STRASUC) Culture and Arts Festival which was mainly held at the San Pablo City Campus on September 27—October 7, 2018 and the annual STRASSUC which held at the Sta. Cruz Campus on November 17-23, 2018.

 

                The three-day Culture and Arts Festival was celebrated with a thanks giving mass, parade of the delegates, grand opening ceremonies, and competitions in visual arts, literary arts, and performing arts categories. In his welcome remarks, Dr. Nestor M. De Vera underscored that the aim of the festival is to develop or maintain cultural ways and to empower millennials to further understand and respect culture and social diversities.

 

                The president of the host University with the Sports Director, Mr. Dexter Reyes got overwhelmed by the honor given by University athletes for having won the championship 2018. LSPU got the top spot and was proclaimed STRASUC Olympics 2018 Over-all Champion. Its journey to the championship was a tough but joyous one.

 

                The two annual competition on sports and arts were participated in by Western Philippine University (WPU), University of Rizal System (URS), Southern Luzon State University (SLSU), Romblon State University (RSU), Palawan State University (PSU), Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC), Marinduque State College (MSC), Mindoro State College of Agriculture and Technology (MinSCAT), Cavite State University (CavSu), Batangas State University (BatSu), and Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU).
