LSPU reviews Strategic Plan

TAGAYTAY CITY—The Laguna State Polytechnic University conducted a three-day workshop to review and update the University Strategic Plan for 2018-2020 at the Kimberly Hotel, April 14-17.

To assure the attainment of the goals relative in gauging the performance of the university, specific indicators for the four (4) initiatives were analyzed whose numerical target were reviewed vis-à-vis the achievement of the university, serving as the bases for justifiable adjustments.

Director Luis G. Banua of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Region IV presented the vision of the agency for the region, providing a framework for the president, vice presidents, directors, deans, faculty, staff and student attendees in their enhancement of the university strategic plan.

Vice presidents for academic affairs, research and extension, and administration; campus directors of different campuses; and directors of different units presented before the attendees the statuses of their respective units.

For the intensive and cooperative consultations, the LSPU body was grouped according to their respective units on the second day of the  workshop. Each department/unit was given the time to discuss the existing goals, objectives, and indicators and compare them with the status of the performance of the university.

The units presented their output on the last day of the seminar-workshop.

After the presentation, the floor was given for questions, one of which was the clarification on the indicators for extension and production.

Dean May M. Veridiano of the College of Nursing and Allied Health (CONAH) was awarded a certificate of recognition for the college’s consistent exemplary performance in results of the board examination for nursing.
